In the winter of 2012, I made a discovery in the studio. I found out how to transform a digital image template into a small unique piece by hand.
This handmade process is multi-step and allows me to intervene and influence the design at every stage. The result is almost like painting oil on canvas, so the work has all the advantages of an oil painting. So this method has almost the freshness, the color strength and the durability of a classically painted oil painting.
I call this discovered process unique printing, because each painting is unique. It makes no sense to produce a duplicate by hand with the effort involved.

My printing with linseed oil colors on canvas is a flat printing process. It is described in Wikipedia or can also be found on the internet under transfer printing processes. Related, but not the same, is the widely used nitrotransfer printing process.
